Between the ages of two to four years some degree of negativism is a normal process in the development of child’s individual personality. He/She resists domination and wants to stand up for herself/himself. In one common entity of negativisim child refuses to eat in spite of bribery, coaxing and bullying by parents. In some children ‘it may take the form of refusal to sleep. He/She may demand that mother goes to bed with her/him.
