Physical punishments and demoralising indignities in the childhood shatters one s confidence in later life. So to build up confidence and courage in your child, be friendly, co-operative and sympathetic with him/her.
Immediately stop any punitive measures previously being employed. A happy and confident child does not fall a prey to emotional upsets.
